According to a Cisco IBSG Market Watch survey conducted in thirteen countries, consumers in emerging markets are ready to use their mobile devices to improve their shopping experience. Global retailers looking to expand into emerging markets do not have the luxury to "wait and see" while devising a mobile strategy. Consumers in these markets have used their mobile devices for advanced functions such as price checks and mobile coupons, and are willing to use them for much more, including mobile payments.
