Reinventing Category Management for the 'Too-much Information' Age

Analysts and industry executives agree that despite some impressive success stories, category management as a whole has lagged behind the rapid "change curves" in the retail and consumer goods industries. Particularly on the manufacturer side, category management efforts have had a hard time keeping pace with market-place shifts, including the explosion of new data sources; a more complex retail environment and an increasingly diverse - and demanding - set of customers.
